1.1. These Terms and Conditions govern the sale and provision of private water transport services (“Water Taxi”) within the Municipality of Venice and the main islands of the lagoon.
1.2. The service is designed to ensure punctual transfers and, whenever possible, access as close as possible to the customer’s chosen destination.
2.1. Venice is a city built on water: the water taxi allows you to quickly and conveniently reach destinations not always served — or poorly served — by public transport.
2.2. The standard route follows the shortest path to the destination. At the customer’s request, the journey can be extended (e.g., via the Grand Canal for sightseeing purposes) with an additional fee.
2.3. Upon request, the service can cover the Lido of Venice and the main islands of the lagoon.
3.1. Exact access to certain docks or hotels may not be guaranteed in case of adverse weather or tide conditions (high or low tide).
3.2. On specific days with critical tide conditions, it may not be possible to reach the docks of:
• Duodo Palace
• Splendid Venice
• Hotel Cavalletto
• Hotel Saturnia
• Hotel Bonvecchiati
• Bonvecchiati Palace
• Campo della Guerra (for Hotel Città di Milano, Hotel San Zulian, Hotel Montecarlo)
and others listed in the updated lists on our website.
3.3. In such cases, disembarkation will be guaranteed within 150 meters of the destination or within a five-minute walk, where reasonably possible.
4.1. For night transfers (10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), a fixed surcharge of €20.00 will be applied to all fares.
5.1. Maximum capacity: 8 passengers per boat (as required by the Harbour Master’s Office).
5.2. Online bookings: up to 8 people per booking. For 9 or more people, direct contact (phone/email) is required to arrange multiple boats and receive a quote.
5.3. The base fare includes up to 4 passengers and 4 pieces of luggage.
5.4. Beyond the fourth passenger, an additional fee of €10.00 per extra passenger applies.
5.5. Luggage: a maximum of 8 pieces total on board. The fare includes up to 4 pieces of luggage; each additional passenger (beyond the 4 included) is entitled to one (1) included bag. A €5.00 fee applies for each extra bag.
6.1. Airport transfers are arranged using a combined car + boat system: one of our staff will pick up the customer at the airport and take them by car to Piazzale Roma, where they will board the water taxi to their final destination.
6.2. This arrangement spares the customer a roughly 12-minute walk to the water taxi dock and provides a more comfortable experience immediately upon exiting the airport gate.
7.1. A booking is considered confirmed once the confirmation email has been received.
7.2. If you have not received a confirmation email, you must promptly contact our customer service by phone to verify your booking.

8.1. You may request a change of date and/or time by contacting customer service by phone or email.
8.2. Minimum notice:
• Services originally scheduled between 08:00 and 22:00: at least 2 hours’ notice.
• Services originally scheduled between 22:00 and 08:00: at least 8 hours’ notice.
8.3. Failure to comply with the notice period may result — at the company’s discretion — in a penalty ranging from 5% to 100% of the service cost.
8.4. If, after requesting a change, it is not possible to provide the service on the new date/time, a full or partial refund of the booking will be issued.
9.1. Free cancellation with a full refund if communicated at least 24 hours before the start of the service via phone or email using the contacts provided.
9.2. Beyond this time frame, the conditions described in section 8 (late change penalties) apply.
10.1. Published fares apply per trip and include what is specified in sections 5 and 6, unless otherwise stated.
10.2. Any surcharges (night service, extra passengers, extra luggage, panoramic/extended routes) are calculated and communicated at the time of the request or before boarding, if applicable.
10.3. Payment is also due if the service cannot reach the exact dock requested for reasons beyond the company’s control (see section 3), provided that a reasonable alternative landing point is offered.
11.1. Customers must show up at the agreed time and location.
11.2. In case of delay or no-show, costs/penalties up to the full fare may apply, considering waiting times, boat allocation, and dedicated staff.
12. Safety and Conduct on Board
12.1. The boat captain has full authority over safety matters and may refuse boarding or interrupt the service in the presence of dangerous or non-compliant behavior, without the right to a refund.
12.2. Passengers must follow the crew’s instructions during boarding, navigation, and disembarking, especially under adverse weather or tide conditions.
13.1. The company is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations due to force majeure or causes beyond its control (e.g., adverse weather or tide conditions, exceptionally high/low tides, ordinances, strikes, unforeseen breakdowns).
13.2. In such circumstances, an alternative solution or a refund will be offered where possible and fair.
14.1. Any complaints must be sent by email to info@taxi314.com within 7 days of the service date, indicating the booking number and a detailed description of the issue.
15.1. These Terms and Conditions may be updated. The applicable version is the one published on the website at the time of booking.
15.2. Lists of docks with access issues (section 3.2) are available on the website and may change depending on tide conditions and official regulations.
16.1. Some hotels and canals are difficult to access for water taxis. These cases require longer transit times and complex maneuvers which, if not performed correctly, could damage the hull.
16.2. An additional €30.00 fee, payable directly to the driver, may be required to reach these addresses.
16.3. The list provided is not necessarily complete or updated with the latest addresses. To confirm whether your requested destination is difficult to access, please contact +39 351 143 0708.
