Public transport only connects some parts of Venice, and it costs a lot for an occasional tourist. Also, outside the city centre many boarding points have service only for limited hours each day, with waits between boats that can be 60 to 80 minutes.
The easiest and fastest way to get around Venice is by water taxi: a private service that almost always takes you exactly where you want to go, saving you from long lines and the hassles of public transport—and doing it more quickly. Plus, if you share a taxi ride, you can cut costs, making it an economical trip that lets you enjoy all the benefits of a private service at prices often lower than public transport.
For our trips, we always pick the shortest route to get you to your destination. However, on request and for an extra fee, we can extend the journey through the Grand Canal. Along this route you’ll see Venice’s finest sights, like the Rialto Bridge, the Church of the Salute, and the Guggenheim Museum. We can also take you to or pick you up at Venice Lido and all the main lagoon islands.

In the unlikely event that we can’t drop you off at one of these docks, we’ll still aim to let you off within 150 meters of your destination or within a five-minute walk.
If you need to transport 9 or more people, contact us by phone or email. We will arrange multiple taxis for you, give you an estimated cost, and if you agree, we will proceed with the booking.
The base rate lets you bring up to 4 passengers and 4 bags. If you have 5 or more passengers, a €10 surcharge applies for each extra person.
For airport transfers, we use a combined car-and-boat system: we’ll send a driver to pick you up at the airport and drive you to Piazzale Roma in Venice, right by a canal. There our boat will be waiting to complete your transfer to your final destination.
This system benefits both you and us. To walk from the airport to the dock where water taxis land takes about 12 minutes. Instead, our driver will meet you just outside the gate—only a few dozen metres away—so you can get in the car immediately.
