Taxi 314 lets you reach your destinations on a boat as comfortable as a living room and faster than any other public transport
Murano, Burano, Torcello, and Pellestrina: pearls of the Venetian lagoon with thousands of years of history. They tell the story of how the Republic of Venice started and grew across the Mediterranean. They are so important that UNESCO has named some of these islands World Heritage Sites. They are a must-see on any trip to Venice. To visit even one from the city centre by public boats takes up to three hours round trip and at least two boat changes.
Here is one way our taxi can help you. We can pick you up right at or near your hotel or apartment and take you straight to visit these beautiful islands. Each trip often takes less than thirty minutes.
THE CHARMING ISLAND OF BURANO
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see on any trip to Venice, you can reach it from the city centre by public boats. It takes at least one hour, with multiple line changes and several stops…
With our water taxi, you can travel to and from Venice, including all its islands, in less than half the time of any public transport. Also, unlike public boats, we can drop you off right at—or very near—the attraction you want to visit, so you avoid long walks through the daily crowds of tourists.
Travel in complete comfort on our leather seats. You will feel like you are gliding across the Venice lagoon while sitting in a small cozy lounge.
Let our taxi take you to your destination in less than half the time of public transport on most routes, while always respecting speed limits.
Forget the hassle of public transport and its delays or cancellations. Our taxi comes to your hotel or apartment, and you choose when and where to go.
Unlike public transport, which only offers a few drop-off points, we can take you to almost any destination in Venice and its islands. If there isn’t a channel to reach your exact spot, we’ll still leave you just a few dozen metres away.
If you have a VAT number, we can issue an invoice on request. You can deduct your Venice transport costs from your taxes.
We’ll send one of our drivers to wait for you outside the gate with a sign showing your name. You’ll walk just a few meters together, then leave the airport and get in the taxi.
For your transfers from the airport to Venice, we offer a combined car and boat service: it’s the fastest and most effective way to reach your destination.
With a standard water taxi transfer, once you leave your gate you have to walk an outdoor route of about twelve minutes before you can board the speedboat.
Instead, we’ll send one of our drivers to meet you outside the gate holding a sign with your name. You’ll walk just a few metres together, then leave the airport and get into the taxi. In under twenty minutes, you’ll arrive at Piazzale Roma in front of our boat, which will complete your transfer to wherever you wish.
This way, you skip the twelve-minute trip to the dock and get to Venice faster.
No trip to Venice is complete without visiting its three main islands: Murano, Burano, and Torcello. Check out our special offers to take you to these three islands.
In Murano, you can discover the art of glassmaking at dozens of factories that create real masterpieces every day.
On Burano island, you’ll see the bright colors of its painted houses, the leaning bell tower, fishermen pulling up their fresh catch, and elderly women making traditional lace with their bobbins, laughing and chatting as they work.
Finally, on Torcello you’ll discover Venice’s ancient origins as you walk by the famous Devil’s Bridge and sit on Attila’s throne.
No trip to Venice is complete without visiting its three most important islands: Murano, Burano, and Torcello.
